Home, sweet home

We finally have a home.  After months of searching for the perfect location, which needed to be beautiful, uniquely our style, in an excellent location with nearly unlimited parking we finally found 819 Ramona Street, Palo Alto.  It is one of the oldest historic buildings in Palo Alto, the old AME Zion church, near the old French Laundry building in the South of Forest Area (SOFA).  Now I won’t even get into how difficult it was to get our use approved by the Palo Alto planning department, or how many times we went back and forth on the 81 page lease with the landlords, but I will say that we’re delighted to have that all behind us, and get on to building!

We are so excited about our new space and about all the new changes we are making to the space.   There will be both women and men’s locker rooms equipped with luxury toiletries, a modern retail area and of course a large beautiful fitness studio with 16 foot high windows and 16 foot high ceilings.  We are also building out a cycling studio in the basement equipped with LeMond Rev Master Pro bikes with personal computers.

In an attempt to log the construction progress, and to give me something to blog about for the next 5 weeks, I am attempting to take pictures of the construction progress every few days.  Not only will this be highly entertaining but it may also help keep our construction friends on schedule.  I can dream.
